"I be rubber, thou art glue. Whatever thou speaketh doth bounce off me and cleave to you! "

It's about that time again, My Super Hero Squad collection part 3 (Part 1 / Part 2). I was going to hold on for a bit until i had collected some more but i need to get these packed away into storage so here it is. There was a seller on eBay a few weeks back getting rid of his fairly big collection so i watched and couldn't believe how much some of them went for. Mrs M thinks i should just keep collecting these and give them to Opeie when he's much older if they become more collectable.

Either way the collection is steadily on the up. there are hundreds of these figures, thankfully what has made it easier to keep track of is this Collection Heroes edition iPad app. This is great as it has all of the available collection with pictures and you can mark the ones that you own. It also has the Galactic Heroes collection too so my new collection for Seth has just been made easier too. (which im going to need as im not as knowledgeable about Star Wars characters).

I know these have already been mentioned in my Father's Day post but as their a recent edition i thought id include them. there's quite a few Iron Man boxes to collect, these are the first for my collection so I'm going to be busy. Ive only just found out about 3 Avengers Assemble boxes which i need to find and the 3 Amazing Spider-man boxes have been released but unfortunately only in the US. Doesnt make things any easier for me!

"Odin wept! Not... wait for it... the Santum Sanctorum! "

It's been a while since i started my Super Hero Squad collection and has been 5 months since my first  blog post about them "you were expecting maybe squirrel girl". I thought it was about time i had an update on what i have collected since. The 2 Thor boxes above came this morning (hence the kick up  the bum to write the post).

The collection is for my youngest son and according to my eldest he wont get his Super Powers until he is 5 so i guess they are for then. (gives me another 4 years to beef up the collection)

My better half is truly amazing, a few weeks back she won me these 4 hulk sets on ebay for 99p i couldn't believe it when she told me as i had seen the Thing/She Hulk box go for a fair bit on more than one occasion.

I had been after Shocker and Shock Proof Spider-man For a While so was chuffed when i won them on ebay and was even more pleased when i noticed the seller was also selling the Scarlet Witch.

Most of these figures where released years ago so its a pain trying to find them all brand new so id say half of my collection are loose figures brought from here and there. It gives me loads if satisfaction finding the figures i don't have for my collection (especially when their found in a charity shop or other random clearance shops).

Mrs M's favourite of the collection so far is The Blob "he's really cute" she said. I think she has a bit of a soft spot for us boys with extra weight. Worked out well for me though!!

Ive had the Dr. Doom play set for a while,it should have been included in my first post but i completely forgot i had it. Happens quite a lot in our house as there are toys everywhere packed away. ( while tidying up after taking these photo's i found a collection of Bucky o Hare toys i forgot i had which im sure will be on here very soon).

My youngest Opeie has been having a play with them as they have come through the post but they are all going into storage until he is older. Our eldest Seth doesn't even know their in the house, he seems more interested in Star wars and Batman at the moment.

Im sure there will be a 3rd part to this collection very soon as i am always on the look out for more,as well as trying to complete many other collections. (I cant wait till we move and we have a loft).

Until next time.....

Introduction...

I'm a collector of sorts or possibly a hoarder if you were to ask my partner,i have always been into toys, obviously when i was young but i have never really grown out of it. I know there are a lot of people out there like me,but i have found that my passion for toys as fun as it is has also helped me build a solid and fun bond with my sons. At 5 my eldest is very much into his super heroes and we have plenty of action figures and toys for him to let his imagination run wild. We also have a new member to our super hero squad who is 7 months old so we will be gradually breaking him in to the exciting world of toys.

I thought it fitting to show a very small fraction of the toys that we play with to give a rough idea of just how bad my hoarding is. We really need a play room for the boys but until we move the boys bedroom will continue to resemble a toy shop. our 5 year old is pretty much into everything and if i like it or used to love it when i was young then he does too. He also prefers the older cartoons that i used to watch when i was younger, spider man and his amazing friends,x-men the animated series etc, he even loves the Goonies and back to the future (suits me because it means i don't get stuck watching back to back Ben 10).
