"Such is life and life is such and after all it isn't much. First a cradle. Then a hearse. It might have been better, but it could have been worse."

A week ago i wrote a post about the Lego Monster fighters Vampyre castle that i brought and built recently. I was instantly drawn in by this range as it is something different from Lego. I'm not usually that interested by the kits i much prefer mine and Seth's custom builds but i loved some of the new pieces and ideas and of course the Mini figures.

Ive brought another five of the kits, four of which i am yet to build. But i recently built the Hearse kit which i was very impressed with and Seth loves too.

It looks great and we really love the spring action coffin that catapults Dracula from the back. Thankfully its not flimsy like the castle so it meant that Seth could actually play with it.

It got me thinking of my Lego Mini figure again and transforming myself into a monster fighter to go with the set.  I have after all always wanted a robotic arm and leg. But ill save that for another post. Seth's itching to build the Mad scientists lab set so you may be reading a post about that very soon.

'The epic first Lego kit build of Mrs M'

Today Mrs M completed her first Lego kit and were all really proud of her, I feel like we have now reached the next level in our relationship and we will become even closer than we already are. This week is one of 'The Sun' free Lego weeks which is always great and Mrs M took on the challenge of today's kit.

I'm loving the Monster Fighters range and this is definitely the best free kit of the week, well done Mrs M were all really proud of you even if you did look very stressed at one point and found it difficult to follow the numbers on the instructions enough to do them in the right order.

Also Mrs M wanted to add a picture of her Halloween nail so here it is in all its glory...

Very Cute!!!

"The monster was the best friend I ever had"

I had a trip to Smyths yesterday to further my Christmas shopping for the boys.  I say Smyths but that was followed by Argos, Toys R Us and Mothercare. I managed to find plenty of fun things for the boys and the way im going the Christmas shopping will be finished soon. That's what you call organised, if only i could be a little more organised when it comes to getting Seth ready for school, i always seem to have to do a second journey to the school to drop off football boots, PE Kit and i even sent him in last week without a drink in his lunch box. Luckily I'm always around in the day to do the second journey. While in Smyths i spotted some great new Lego kits.

these kits are so different to anything Lego have released previously and i am desperate to get my hands on them. I love all the old fashioned horror movies which is probably why i find these so appealing.

With Seth's birthday a few weeks away and Christmas just round the corner (and the fact that were trying to save for other things) i cant be buying things for myself and i don't think Seth was to impressed by them when i showed them him so i cant justify passing them of as his present.

If i do get to buy them at some point i will definitely be going for the hearse first its a great set, i have downloaded the instructions for it but sadly i wouldn't have all the parts to make it, despite that i might give it a go anyway and see if i can botch it. I didn't do a bad job of the Jokers Ice Cream truck after all. Its more not having the mini figures that would let it down.

Well i can dream that they will just fall into my lap but until then i will have to just be a good boy and hope that Santa is watching.
