"It's practically impossible to look at a penguin and feel angry."

Seth got back from school today and we did the usual pottering around Seth's room playing with his toys. The Lego as always found its way out and we all ended up sitting on the floor around Seth as he was building. Seth had the mini bits box out (which is the box of all the pieces we haven't sorted into colour order yet) and he decided that he wanted to make a mini penguin and asked me to join in. It wasn't long before Mrs m had got the Lego buzz too and was joining in with the 'make a Lego penguin activity'. I made a little one pretty quick so as the others were still building I decided to make another. I know I write about Lego a lot but there is no end to the amount of fun you can have. It fuels a lot of our play times. I love the way a fun family build session can start just by the boxes being out. Anyway here's what we ended up with...

This was my first quickly made penguin...

This was Seth's mini penguin with umbrella and blaster...

Then came my second attempt but neither of us were ready for the ultimate Mrs M build...

Mrs M's was a robot penguin that works at a garage... clearly she was the over all winner so congratulations Mrs M, how could we possibly compete with that?

I really enjoyed our mini builds and might think of a theme for tomorrow too.
